3D Ultrasound pictures

3D ultrasound images are very clear and detailed. Unlike the 2d images, you can see curvature and shape of organs and body parts, as well as seeing a much better idea of size.

They are intended to show smaller details than regular 2d ultrasound, such as growths and cancer in earlier stages when they are smaller. For fetuses, 3D ultrasound images are better able to show detail in smaller limbs and on the face, allowing any small deformities to be detected earlier.

Also, depth organs and blood flow are better shown on the 3d ultrasound pictures since all sides of a part can be shown, and detail of every minute aspect can mean life or death when detecting lesions or other foreign growths in their earlier stages.
